Uplift pressures are more damaging to older methods of concrete applied to slopes than to our GeoTextile linings and concrete mats and more likely to cause failure to a concrete slope. Because our GeoTextile fabric can be shaped with built-in drainage, the soil underneath is more likely to remain stable, reducing chances of underscore.

Adaptation to Soil Contours:

Because the GeoTextile fabric forms have the concrete pumped into the sections on-site they can conform to the underlying contour as they are being filled, thus creating a tighter bond that had less chance of underscour. GeoTextile forms are connected by fabric perimeters and some with embedded cables and are able to adapt to changing contours of the soil.

GeoTextile fabric forms are delivered to the site location ready to install and fill with concrete using a small line concrete pump with no further forming required with the required depth and contours already built into the forms.

Since they do not require steel reinforcement or finishing, costs can be saved on the size of the manpower needed.  GeoTextile fabric concrete mattresses can also be installed over GeoTextile tubes without need of first dewatering the tubes, saving more time and money.

What creates the weight of the concrete forms is the concrete, which can be purchased local to the job site, keeping shipping costs down even more. All that is need for installation are a few common construction tools and a concrete pump. Adding to their ease of job installation, concrete can be pumped to the fabric forms from a distance of up to 800 feet. No job is too small or too big for these concrete filled fabric forms. Shipping is less, manpower is less, and equipment for installation is minimal, making this method the ideal method of erosion control or breakwater armoring.
